Ask a Plant Stylist: 5 ways to Style Plants in Your Home Office.

We all know that indoor plants can really transform a space. Plants can be an inexpensive way to spruce up your home office. Consider adding some green to the areas you spend the most time in your home. Today we’ve got you covered on ways to style your new green boos!

Use Vertical Space With Hanging Plants

Hanging plants are a great way to add visual interest, especially when space is limited!  Trailing plants like the Asparagus Fern, Vinca Vines, Pothos, and Wandering Dudes work beautifully for this. When styling make sure you anchor the planter to a corner or some other point of interest in your space.

Invest In A Statement Plant

Having a statement plant can really pull a room together.  If your home office shares a space with a living room or bedroom, using a statement plant can make it feel more cohesive. Try to add something at least three feet high. You can place it in a corner, entryway, or near another piece of furniture.

Optimize Space by Using plant Cuttings

Snip off a leaf or vine from one of your other plants and place it in a glass bottle. This is great especially if you don’t have a ton of room for a potted plant on your desk or shelf. If you do have the space you can create a nice grouping arrangement. Which leads us to our next tip.

Create A Plant Corner

One of the best ways to make an impact aesthetically with plants is to  group them together. It can be on the floor, a desk, or a shelf. Try grouping three plants with varying heights and textures to create an abundant space that looks and feels relaxing. You can even complement the colors of the planters or use the same color. I usually opt for white, gold, or pink planters in my space.

Select the Perfect Desk Plant

Adding a plant to your desk seems so obvious. It doesn’t matter if your desk is the kitchen table, and actual desk or night stand. One small plant can inspire you and boost your mood. If your space is really limited opt for something small. If your desk area is on the larger size go for something 6-8 inches in diameter.  If your work from home space is your kitchen or dining room table go big! A 8-10 inches diameter plant is a good size. Best of it can double as a centerpiece when work is through.
